Later Gators

Yesterday, Tyler said "See ya later, gators" to his pesky tonsils and adenoids. Aaron and I had more of a response of, "good ridence!" We were glad to see them go!!!

Tyler was a superstar throughout the process. Even his nurse was impressed with his rapid recovery. He was eating and drinking like a champion within a couple hours. While at the hospital, he ate a plateful of potatoes, some fruit, 3 cups of ice cream, and 1/2 a popsicle. He continued the great trend after we went home, as well.

We were allowed to leave the hospital by 2:30 in the afternoon, and Tyler was glad to be free and in his own clothes again. Below you can see some pictures of the big day.

Great job, Tyler!!! You were so brave!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the pictures. Tyler, Grandpa Don and Grandma Lois are so proud of your bravery before and after your surgery! You and Bear are something else!! We are also proud of "Lucy." She is something else, too. I can just see you hanging out with Ethel playing all sorts of pranks on Fred and Ricky. Those eyes are just a dancin' up some mischief! And Miss Makenna....we are so sad you have been sick, but hope you are feeling much better every day and getting the bounce back in your step. Grandpa felt so bad for you last time he saw you. We'e happy Daddy is feeling better, too. Your family has had quite a week. Love, Grnpa & Grnma Kahl

Hi Amy and Aaron,

I haven't read your blog for a while, and it looks like I picked an interesting time to check. Great that Tyler came through the fun of tonsil removal. Here's to his improved health as a result of getting rid of those nasty tonsils!
